World Food Programme Ghana recruits <strong>Procurement Assistants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Post Title: PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT (P4P UNIT) 2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE<\/strong><br \/>\nGrade: G6<br \/>\nContract Type: One year renewable<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expectation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Co-ordinate and arrange meetings with farmer organisations (FOs) and partners;<br \/>\nDraft local tenders and evaluate offers for the finalisation of purchases and the award of contracts by using WFP&#8217;s corporate system;<br \/>\nArrange Local Procurement Committee meetings;<br \/>\nLiaise with WFP appointed inspection and superintendent firms to ensure quality control, specification conformity, volume assessment, monitoring and verification of deliveries;<br \/>\nDraft technical and legal contracts;<br \/>\nRun system&#8217; queries and prepare reports;<br \/>\nRaise payment requests for all logistics and procurement payments and keep an electronic tracking;<br \/>\nClosely track all local purchases and submit a weekly report on that;<br \/>\nPrepare entries in WINGS II and PAST Food;<br \/>\nKeep the list of local food suppliers and Logistics service;<br \/>\nCollect weekly market prices and send report to OMD. (weekly report every Friday);<br \/>\nPerform any other related activities as required<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants should have a sound judgment, ability to resolve operational problems and have skills and ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, ability to work in a team and establish effective working relationship with persons of different national and cultural backgrounds coupled with the following:<br \/>\nUniversity Degree or Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply, Economics, Agricultural Marketing or any other related discipline from a recognised and reputable institution;<br \/>\nProfessional certificate such as CIPS or GAFTA is a plus<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications with CVs should be submitted in closed envelope.
