World Vision International <\/strong>is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. For over two decades. World Vision has been working with urban and rural communities in all the 10 Regions of Ghana to improve provision of water, promote sanitation and hygiene practices and quality education.<\/p>\n

World Vision through a USAID funded Education project in Ghana known as the Transition and Persistence Program (TAP). The TAP project seeks to increase access to junior High School (JHS) by re\/constructing and rehabilitating of junior high schools to increase access to equitable and quality education for schools in the rural communities of Ghana.<\/p>\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\nTo provide technical advice to the operations Manager on the selection of sites, drilling location, design, construction, development and performance of boreholes of the water and sanitation program of the Project<\/p>\n

Job Responsibilities:<\/p>\n

Provide technical support in the management of field operations leading to the selection of sites, design, development and construction of water facilities for groundwater and surface water sources
\nProvide technical support in the collation, analysis and presentation of field data to advise the project manager on efficient execution of water and sanitation project
\nProvide technical support for the planning, coordination and monitoring of all constructional and civil engineering works for the project
\nSupervise the preparation of borehole logs for the project
\nAssist in the writing and presentation of the operations monthly, quarterly, annual and other technical reports as required by the Project Manager
\nEnsure efficient handling of all sitting equipment and their accessories and make sure they are always in good condition
\nKeep abreast with drilling operational techniques globally and advise both the Operations Manager and the Project Manager on new developments
\nRequired Skills or Experience<\/p>\n

Person Specification:<\/p>\n

A minimum of a first degree in Geological Science, Geological Engineering or Hydrogeology with a minimum of five years experience.
\nMust possess a valid\u2019s license
\nMust be proactive with high level of initiative, innovation, drive and a strong team player with interpersonal skill.
\nThe preferred candidate must, be a committed Christian.<\/p>\n
