The Esaase project is an advanced exploration property near Kumasi with ongoing exploration and development programs. More information on Keegan and the Esaase project can be found on <strong>www.keeganresources.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The objectives of this new role are to develop and implement an environmental management system in accordance with company policies and Ghanaian legislation and to assist with project permitting activities. The job will be full time and based at the Esaase Gold Project site<\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the GM &#8211; Health, Safety, Environment and Community, the incumbent&#8217;s responsibility will include:<\/p>\n<p>Leading the development and documentation of risk management and standard operating procedures within a framework of continuous improvement<br \/>\nAssisting with project permitting activities (Environmental Impact Assessment)<br \/>\nParticipating in consultation with local, regional and nationalMDAs<br \/>\nSupervising environmental baseline monitoring programmes<br \/>\nCarrying out routine inspections of workplaces<br \/>\nTracking and reporting progress on environmental initiatives<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A degree or equivalent in engineering or earth science discipline.
