Develop new in- house Applications on as need basis<\/li>\n<li>Controls activities relating Mining applications, database management, and business process alignment to IT<\/li>\n<li>In-charge of all server and database backup and Recovery policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Support the work of the Client Services Specialist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Activities \/ Decision Areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Responsible for the systems and user administration of ERP systems and other applications<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for 2nd &amp; 3rd level system support of all the Business and Mining Applications hosted by IT.<\/li>\n<li>Install hardware and software upgrades according to established specifications for all Business and Mining Applications hosted by IT.<\/li>\n<li>Performs regular back-up of all servers and ensures others comply with back-up policies and procedures for all applications and platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Executes recovery procedures according to established guidelines for all supported applications.<\/li>\n<li>Administers appropriate security by granting access privileges for applications and users of database objects and ensures that all applications are properly licensed<\/li>\n<li>Develops database models, definitions and standards for administering enterprise databases as well as performing maintenance on all application and Database components as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Monitors all database systems to ensure the enterprise functionality of the database and the availability and quality of system data.<\/li>\n<li>Develop in house applications and work flows using K2 and other work flow tools<\/li>\n<li>Uses appropriate tools to monitor database physical space usage and takes appropriate and timely corrective actions when needed.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with third party vendors to ensure the smooth transition of projects, into post implementation support<\/li>\n<li>Effectively liaise with key end users in all business areas to understand their needs and explore IT solutions to address such needs\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the day to day monitoring of critical business systems, and the immediate investigation and resolution of issues that affect production and escalation to Head of IT where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews and analyses proposed hardware and network changes which may affect any of the applications performance. Determines impact of changes and escalate to head of IT<\/li>\n<li>Keep up to date documentation on operational framework, processes and procedure on all applications and databases.<\/li>\n<li>Assists client Support team in resolving end-user issues in a timely and professional manner.<\/li>\n<li>Any other assignment as may be assigned by Head of IT<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Person Specification<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential role related knowledge, technical skills, qualifications and experience<br \/>\nEducation\u00a0Qualifications &amp; Certifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BA or BSc in Computer Science or related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Professional certification; in MCIT SQL server 2008 or above, OCP, MCITP (Business intelligence or option), SharePoint etc.<\/li>\n<li>ITIL Foundation &amp; SharePoint Certification will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>4 &#8211; 5 years experience in an Enterprise IT development or operational<\/li>\n<li>environment for Business applications and other systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Experience supporting ERP\u2019s, example JD Edwards and other Mining application<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of\u00a0business process optimization and IT alignment<\/li>\n<li>Hand on software development and analysis skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in supporting client server based software applications.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working on virtual servers environment<\/li>\n<li>Hands on experience on Crystal Reports 10, K2 and SharePoint<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience in Microsoft SQL Integration, Reporting and Analysis Services<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modelling<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in working with SQL Server, Oracle and Informix databases<\/li>\n<li>Strong ability to analyze and develop user requirements<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Strong report writing and data query skills (SQL Server, Oracle, Informix<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0In\u2013depth knowledge of relational database structures, principles and practices<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Personal Skills &amp; Attributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ability to work independently or in a team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Must be flexible to work beyond normal working hours as required.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interact with users, peers, and management.<\/li>\n<li>Results oriented and deadlines driven<\/li>\n<li>Good work ethics and personal behaviour<\/li>\n<li>Takes initiative and Innovative<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Age not more than 30 years<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Applicants with the requisite qualifications should please apply to the address below to:<\/p>\n<div><strong><a href=\"mailto:Chiranohr.recruitment@kinross.com\">Chiranohr.recruitment@kinross.com<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em id=\"__mceDel\">or<\/em><\/div>\n<div><strong>The Human Resource Manager<br \/>\nChirano Gold Mines Limited<br \/>\nP.
