AMSCO (The African Management Services Company)<\/strong> was established to address the issue of management and management capacity building in private sector companies in Africa, enabling these companies to enter the global market competitively, profitably and in a sustainable manner. As a special purpose project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, AMSCO is a critical player in most sub \u2013 Saharan African economies.<\/p>\n

Specifications:<\/strong>
\nReporting to the Recruitment Manager, the Executive Recruiter will work as part of a dynamic Recruitment team, offering consultative recruitment solutions. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying suitable candidates for placement in client companies within the Region.<\/p>\n

Main Accountabilities :<\/strong>
\nScreening for quality prospective candidates and conducting telephonic interviews.
\nMaintaining essential recruitment systems.
\nIdentifying suitable recruitment companies who specialise in the English speaking markets within Africa. Managing and maintaining relationships with these organisations.
\nManagement of the recruitment database for the ROSA Region. Update and increase C.V.\u2019s on AMSCO database.
\nManagement of external as well as internal relationships.
\nResponsible for providing guidance, support and recruitment advice to the Project Officers, Operations and Management as and when required.
\nTogether with the Recruitment Manager ensure on-going training and development of Project Officers on Recruitment trends within Africa.
\nProvide Induction support for new AMSCO Managers.
\nProvide guidance and assistance for AMSCO Managers around succession planning.
\nBuilding strong external links through network forums and our external stakeholders (donors etc.)
\nPromote our brand and raising our profile in the marketplace.
\nAssisting the Recruitment Manager with strategy roll out to ensure that the Recruitment Department delivers an exceptional service to internal clients.
\nIdentify suitable channels in consultation with the Recruitment Manager for advertising positions.
\nCompetencies:
\nAction Oriented: Enjoys working hard, is action oriented and full of energy for the things he\/she sees as challenging, not fearful of acting with a minimum of planning.
\nAttention to detail \u2013 ability to accomplish tasks through concern for all areas concerned.
\nCommunication skills (written and verbal)
\nAbility to work on own initiative \u2013 ability to assert one\u2019s influence over events in order to achieve goals.
\nNegotiating skills- ability to negotiate and influence in tough situations with both internal and external groups.<\/p>\n

Essential:<\/strong>
\nAppreciation of foreign labour legislation.
\nAbility to build internal teams and external networks.
\nThe ideal candidate should have four (4) years in-house recruitment experience.
\nGraduate degree (BA Social Sciences).
\nExperience in conducting competency based interviews.<\/p>\n
