The University College of Management Studies (UCOMS)<\/strong> evolved out of the Institute of Management Studies(IMS), a Tutorial College which prepared students for professional qualifications (certificates) in Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing – CIM), Accounting (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants – ACCA) and Purchasing and Supply (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply – CIPS). Students have since 1978 been taking United Kingdom external examinations in these professions.\u00a0The Institute has had accreditation from the National Accreditation Board in the country for its programmes.These are heavily subscribed.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The responsibilities of the Accounts Officer include the operation of the Imprest System, preparation of payroll vouchers, and the preparation of periodic reports and statements<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The applicant must possess B.Sc. Administration (Accounting Option), CA (Gh)
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Part II or equivalent, and a minimum of two years post-qualification experience
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Proficiency in the use of accounting software is desirable<\/p>\n
