Job Description<\/strong>
\nTwo exciting opportunities to make an impact in Maternal Newborn Child Health (MNCH) in Ghana.
\nOur client, Concern Worldwide, is an international non\u00adgovernmental, humanitarian organisation dedicated to the reduction of
\nsuffering and the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world\u2019s poorest countries. Its project, Innovations for Maternal,\u00a0Newborn and Child Health initiative (Innovations) is aimed at identifying and field\u00adtesting innovative ways of increasing access\u00a0to high\u00adimpact, low\u00adcost health interventions known to save the lives of women, infants and children.<\/p>\n

On behalf of Concern Worldwide, KPMG invites two highly skilled and motivated professionals to join the Innovations Team to
\noversee and manage two separate projects in Ghana. The two successful candidates will travel regularly to challenging
\nlocations and may be located within the project test district during the Implementation and Evaluation phase of the project.
\nThe Role \u00ad Innovations Senior Programme Manager (\u201cCare Community Hub\u201d)
\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for one of the Innovations\u2019 projects being implemented in Ghana which will
\ncreatively use technology to improve social support and career development addressing the constraints and limitations in
\nensuring connectedness for health workers stationed in rural Ghana.<\/p>\n

Major Responsibilities of the role<\/strong>
\nServe as the primary in\u00adcountry point of contact on health\u00adrelated and other technical matters providing timely information,
\nreports and learning from the country; ensuring good stewardship of all resources; track progress; and participate in key local
\nand international meetings.<\/p>\n

Phase One \u2013 Design and Develop phase (3\u00ad6 months)
\nManage the design, consultation and prototype stages before full implementation launch
\nConduct routine field visits to assess the quality of work and identify current, emerging, and potential risks\/challenges
\nthat might compromise the two phases of the project
\nDevelop planning documents, meeting agendas, work plans, budgets and all other tasks required for developing the
\nidea and obtain all appropriate ethical and other approvals, as necessary
\nAssist design and develop the innovations through formative research, local consultations with stakeholders and
\npartners and prototyping aspects of the \u201cidea\u201d.
\nPhase Two \u2013 Implementation and Evaluation phase (18\u00ad 24 months)
\nOversee the development and update of partner\u00adspecific and joint work plans and budgets
\nEnsure project monitoring plans are aligned with relevant national policies and protocols and supportive supervision
\nplans
\nPrepare vital documentation to obtain and\/or maintain ethical approval from local review bodies
\nAssess the quality of implementation and identify current, emerging, and potential risks\/challenges
\nVerify project monitoring tools and methods are appropriate for generating quality evidence on the processes, outputs
\nand intermediate outcomes outlined in each project\u2019s M&E framework
\nPlan and execute activities to promote use of project data to inform health planning and service delivery decision
\nmaking
\nReview monthly and quarterly reports submitted by the project implementers<\/p>\n

Required Skills or Experience<\/strong>
\nKey qualifications & experience (\u201cCare Community Hub\u201d) \u00ad
\nAdvanced degree in information technology, health \/ relevant undergraduate degree with at least 5\u00ad10 years of
\nsubstantial experience in the health sector or in product design\/development
\n3 years minimum relevant senior management and\/or programme management experience at regional and\/or country
\nlevel
\nExperience in maternal health, information technology, human resource capacity building, research, monitoring and
\nevaluation.
\nKnowledge, Skills and Competencies
\nEntrepreneurial and business minded
\nProven people management skills
\nAbility to meet tight deadlines
\nStrong communication and problem solving skills
\nKnowledge of Ghana\u2019s maternal, newborn and child health sector, monitoring and evaluation and evidence\u00adbased
