Global Health Systems Solutions (GHSS) is a non-governmental and non-profit making organization dedicated to seeking innovative solutions to strengthen health systems in developing countries for effective service delivery and surveillance of infectious, non-infectious, and neglected tropical diseases.<\/p>\n
We focus in three key areas: improve laboratory systems and services critical for disease management, surveillance, and prevention; enhance field surveillance and epidemiological training for relevant animal and human health to mitigate threats posed by diseases; and improve service delivery at all health levels. Our major collaborators include Ministries of Health, the World Health Organisation, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and several bi-lateral organizations.<\/p>\n
We are currently seeking an outstanding individual (s) to GHSS to serve as Software Developer for the Ghana Office<\/strong>. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (i.e. new development and design), design and implement features using PHP and MySQL on the back-end and JavaScript and CSS on the front-end and design complex features and tools to support. \n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Aware of web standards, their purpose, benefits and appropriateness
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The ability to understand customer experience and create optimal experiences using modern web technologies
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The ability to work independently and collaborate with a remote development team
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent communication skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Understanding of AJAX and its appropriate usage
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Familiar with JavaScript, CSS, and XHTML
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience working with large Java script frameworks, such as JQuery,
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience working with source code version control systems, such as Subversion Git is preferred
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to prepare detailed project development plans and activity reports
