A leading Oil and Gas Company is looking for qualified candidates for the following position based in Accra:- Contract Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n

The contract Engineer will take care of procurement of works, services and materials based on company guidelines and procedures and, in line with guidelines set out by the Management<\/p>\n

Key Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Contract Award Process: to lead the contract award process and prepare all the necessary documentation under the supervision of the management
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 To liaise with internal Clients, and Suppliers
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 To respect the Company\u2019s procedure<\/p>\n

Main Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Contract Award
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Receive the Material\/Service Request (PR)
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Analyse the requests and, accordingly, prepare the appropriate strategy, to be approved by the management, in order to meet the requiremnet, including:
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Selection of suitable Bidders
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Selection of appropriate Contractual Standards
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Issue to the bidder(s) the Tender documentation
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Act as focal point for the receipt and management of their queries
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Receive the Bidders proposals
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Organise the opening committees for technical and commercial bid openings
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure, under the supervision of the management, that the requesting unit provides an adequate technical evaluation of the proposals, if and when applicable
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Prepare the economic evaluation of the bid for the approval of the management
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Negotiate under supervision of management (with the selected Supplier) prices, terms and conditions
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Prepare the contract documentation and award recommendation for the approval of management
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure correct distribution of contracts to supplier and internal functions
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure proper archiving and storage of all tender and contractual documentation
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Post Award
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Reporting
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Support the Contract Managers during Contract execution
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Prepare the Contract revisions if and when applicable<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong academic background
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Accredited University Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Master preferable
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 0\/2 years work experience
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent oral and written English
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Must have a Bachelor\u2019s degree, with minimum of: 4\/7 years contract experience in the up-stream process and oil & gas projects of which at least 3 years working as a supervisor with a major oil company\u00a0 OR 4\/7 years contracts experience in the up-stream process and oil & gas projects, of which at least 2 years on major and\/or high complexity contracts
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 High risk management skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Supervision skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to be a team player, frequent interaction with other disciplines and third parties.
