Reporting to the Consumer & Market Understanding Manager, the holder will lead the generation of\u00a0insights\u00a0through BIG data analytics across products and processes, and all competitor understanding efforts of MICGH to ensure optimal use of in-house data for Marketing purposes and the competitiveness of MICGH\u2019s offerings and executions. This position requires a keen analytical and strategic mind that is able to absorb large amounts and varied sources of data, while having the capability to see beyond the data to provide intellectual\u00a0insights\u00a0on the market and consumer dynamics<\/p>\n
Job Title 1:\u00a0Business & Competitive Understanding Analyst At Tigo<\/strong><\/p>\n Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n Big Data Analytics<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Work with\u00a0Data Warehouse\u00a0to analyze subscriber level data as first line inputs for all Consumer & Market Understanding initiatives Customer Profiling<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Harmonizing big data tools, market research data and official statistics to profile the Tigo customer, users of key products and tariff plans Competitor Intelligence<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Lead all competitor understanding and benchmarking needs of MICGH Execution Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Work with various product owners and business units in the design and execution of various innovation\/renovation initiatives;<\/p>\n Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong> \u2022\u00a0\u00a0 University degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, Operations Research or Computer Science with adequate Business Courses;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Robust data mining that assists with\u00a0insights\u00a0on key business trends (activations, churns, usage growths\/declines,\u00a0market share\u00a0trends, etc)

\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Continuously profile new customers (Gross Adds), inactive customers and churns
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist the Geo-Marketing lead to construct the profiles of customers in various relevant local units of our market<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Review and benchmarking of both existing and new offerings in the market (products and services, tariffs, promotions, processes, etc)
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Business performance\u00a0benchmarking (customer\u00a0market shares, revenue\u00a0market shares, ARPUs, MOUs, penetration of key products, etc)
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Daily, weekly and\u00a0monthly reports\u00a0on key market developments and competitor activities
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Proactively scan the business environment to identify areas of competitive opportunity and risk
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain an updated\u00a0SWOT analysis\u00a0of all competitors in our market at all times
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Deliver specific ad-hoc requests on competitor understanding from various stakeholders
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Manage our media\u00a0monitoring\u00a0programs to ensure efficiency of media investments<\/p>\n
\nPosition Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Master\u2019s Degree in Business is a plus
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 4+ years relevant post National Service working experience in Telecoms\/FMCG\/Consulting
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in data analysis, marketing surveys, research oriented
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 In-depth experience in Business Analysis & Planning
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience with data access, manipulation, and report generation tools (SQL, SPSS, Excel, Access, etc) a MUST
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrable experience using market research data (brand, customer or retail)
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrable experience conducting root cause analysis based on data analytics
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong competitive analytical skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Extensive knowledge of best practices for competitive intelligence and market research
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Creativity with regards to identifying and utilizing various sources to gather data
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to analyze complex competitor activities in order to derive conclusions and recommendations
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Solid understanding of marketing analytics and the concepts of segmentation and targeting
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Understands the Ghanaian telecom market (operators, offerings, tariffs, positioning, etc)
