\nJob Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Foundation seeks to\u00a0recruit\u00a0a\u00a0dynamicindividual to complement existing staff in its Regional Office for West and central Africa, based in Accra, Ghana,<\/p>\n

The overall responsibility of an Administrative Assistant is to provide administrative and secretarial assistance to staff members of the department.<\/p>\n

Duties and responsibilities among others include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Making travel arrangements for staff members of the department and consultants;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Drafting standardized Notes Verbales and any other replies to incoming diplomatic notes from other Diplomatic Missions and the Ministry of\u00a0Foreign Affairsas directed by the Regional Director; Providing assistance to the department by preparing briefings and documentation for meetings;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Developing and maintaining the department\u2019s database of projects and programmer<\/p>\n

CONTRACT\u00a0DURATION:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The successful\u00a0candidate\u00a0will be recruited on a one year appointment. The\u00a0contractmay be renewed subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding.<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Selection will be on a competitive basis and the following minimum qualifications,\u00a0 experience\u00a0 and competencies are required:<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 A minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Modern Languages, or related field from a recognized university supplemented with aDiploma\u00a0in Secretarial Studies;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 A minimum of five (5) years\u2019 experience as a secretary preferably in international organisations;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to write and speak fluently in English and French languages;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to work independently with little supervision with excellent interactive and interpersonal skills, and the\u00a0 ability to work in\u00a0 a multicultural environment;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent computer knowledge\u00a0 (Ms applications)<\/p>\n
