Chemonics International Inc<\/strong>. seeks four technical and administrative specialists for the recently awarded five-year, USAID-funded Ghana Feed the Future Agriculture Policy Support (Ghana FtF-APS) Project. The Ghana FtF-APS project aims to increase the capacity of the government of Ghana, the private sector, and civil society organisations in evidence-based policy formation, implementation, research and advocacy and in rigorous monitoring and evaluation of agricultural programmes under the Medium Term Agriculture Sector Investment Plan. The Personnel will support the effective and efficient long-term management and implementation of the Ghana FtF-APS project by filling the following position:- Finance Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Finance Manager will implement financial management and accountability requirements of the project according to USAID and Chemonics procedures and regulations.<\/p>\n

Specific responsibilities will include<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Lead in the development and implementation of sound financial management systems
\n\u2022 Monthly and annual financial reporting to the project management unit and other project stakeholders
\n\u2022 Develop, implement, and maintain adequate internal controls
\n\u2022 Ensure complete documentation, filing and retrieval systems
\n\u2022 Liaise with statutory reporting authorities to comply with statutory payment and reporting requirements<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree or higher in Accounting and Finance
\n\u2022 Professional accounting qualification, ACCA, CA or CPA
\n\u2022 Not less than 4 years of professional experience, preferably for USAID-funded programmes in Ghana
\n\u2022 Demonstrated knowledge of USAID financial and management systems, regulations and reporting requirements<\/p>\n

Job Summary<\/p>\n

The grants and subcontracts manager will be responsible for managing project grants to institutional partners and building institutional capacity in grants management under a Grants Under Contract (GUC) mechanism. They will also be responsible for managing project subcontracts.<\/p>\n

Specific responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Support the development, and implementation of a project Grants and Contracts manual
\n\u2022 Lead in the assessment and evaluation of grant applications
\n\u2022 Ensure post award management in accordance with USAID and Chemonics policies and procedures
\n\u2022 Provide policy guidance and interpretation to program beneficiaries and sub-grantees
\n\u2022 Responsible for systematic documentation, referencing, retrieval and management of grants and contracts awards.<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 5 years of demonstrated experience and success in grants management, including Grants under Contract (GUC)
\n\u2022 Demonstrated knowledge of USAID financial and management systems, regulations and reporting requirement
\n\u2022 Degree in business administration, economics, public administration, finance or closely related field
\n\u2022 Experience in building the capacity of organizations to apply for, receive and manage grants
\n\u2022 Strong interpersonal and communication skills
\n\u2022 Fluency in English required<\/p>\n

Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Agricultural Economist will provide training and support to stakeholder organisations for policy analysis and formation activities, including institutional capacity building.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities will include<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Analyzing existing capacity for agriculture policy analysis within partner organisations and developing tools and recommendations for building partner capacity
\n\u2022 Work with technical staff to identify policy priorities, data collection and analysis priorities and will develop tools and trainings to address gaps in knowledge and skills
\n\u2022 Providing technical assistance to government agencies, research organisations and private sector organisations
\n\u2022 Building capacity for data collection and analysis of policy impacts on women farmers and entrepreneurs<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Master\u2019s degree in agricultural economics, statistics or a related field, ten years experience in agricultural policy analysis and data collection, organisational capacity building, good writing skills
\n\u2022 USAID experience preferred
\n\u2022 Fluent english language capability<\/p>\n
