The Position
\nThe College Principal is the chief academic, administrative and disciplinary officer and in that capacity shall, subject to the general direction of Council of the College, or policies that the Council may give:<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure the implementation of the decision of Council;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Exercise general authority over staff of the College;<\/p>\n
Be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 admission of students.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 discipline and supervision of staff and students.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 preparation of the annual estimates of income and expenditure for consideration by Council, d. providing Council with returns, reports and other relevant information as required.<\/p>\n
Qualification Required & Experience<\/p>\n
The candidate must have:<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 A relevant master\u2019s degree with education component. Researched-based master\u2019s degree with education component is an added advantage.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Rank NOT below Senior Lecturer \/ Deputy Director (GES)
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Relevant post qualification senior management experiences of at least five (5) years.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Proven leadership skills and be a team player.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to provide confidence and inspire staff.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Must not be more than 55 years at the time of application.<\/p>\n
Extensive Knowledge and experience at the tertiary education level will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
