KHRC is situated in the middle part of Ghana and offers research and training services nationally and internationally and its staffs are multidisciplinary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #555555;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Kintampo Health Research Centre is looking for an Internal Auditor to work full time based at our head office in Kintampo, in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Scope &amp; General Purpose<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nPerform financial, operational and systems audit of the institution\u2019s operations as well as responsible for reviewing the institution\u2019s overall internal control of its operations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Responsibilities &amp; Accountabilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Perform all internal audit duties in a manner that reflects the highest professional standards that complies with the guidelines of the Institute of Internal Auditors<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Develop and documents Audit procedures performed as well as the preparation of noted concerns for Audit reports inclusion<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Responsible for planning, executing and completing internal audit activities according to established schedule, recommending internal control improvements that may include operational enhancements or efficiencies and the preparation of audit reports as well as documenting controls<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Build and manage an effective team, deliver annual audit plan and responsible for examining, evaluating and writing reports on the adequacy and effectiveness of Managements\u2019 risk management processes<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Establish effective operational relationships within the institution and assist management in the understanding and adaptation of internal control principles<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Examines and evaluate policies, procedures and systems which are in place to ensure reliability and integrity of financial reports &amp; information, compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations, safe guarding assets, economical and efficient use of resources, accomplishment of established objectives and goals for operations or programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Remunerations and conditions of service:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nNegotiable, but within the existing KHRC employment conditions<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #555555;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Must have auditing experience preferably in a multi-donor funded environment.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Ability to conduct thorough investigation<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Must pay attention to details<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Must be trustworthy and a person of integrity<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Must be proficient in MS Office applications especially Excel.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">A minimum of a university degree\/ professional qualification in Accounting<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Affiliation to any Accounting\/Audit Professional Body will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Minimum of five years post-qualification work experience in similar environment with at least two years in auditing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Special \/ Personal Abilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Determined personality with initiative and perseverance<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Good analytical skills<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Proficient in Microsoft office applications<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">Ability to use accounting software preferably Sage Pastel Evolution<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: inherit;
