To support the Regional Head of Sustainability Africa (RHSA), by effectively and efficiently working with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver the Bank\u2019s Sustainability agenda and initiatives for the Africa Region,
\nAs a key member of the Southern Africa team, to efficiently and effectively support the CA function in Southern Africa by ensuring that the Bank\u2019s agenda in the areas of Public Affairs, Internal and External Communications, Sustainability and Issues Management are well implemented in order to support staff engagement, profile the Bank as a market leader, to build on its image and profile and to maintain good relations with all stakeholders.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Skills<\/strong> \u2022 Fluency in Portuguese very preferable Skills<\/strong>
\nKnowledge\/Experience<\/p>\n
\nProven experience of managing NGO relationships;
\n\u2022 Existing network of sustainability contacts at Regional level
\n\u2022 Ability to combine rigorous internal management of legislative compliance with external policy development and communications;
\n\u2022 Flexible, approachable and personable character<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Persuasive negotiator
\n\u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
\n\u2022 Good negotiation skills, confident in developing and putting forward the company\u2019s position in external meetings and with senior management;
\n\u2022 Ability to understand complex legislation and influence future policy development;
\n\u2022 Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and manage multitude of issues simultaneously
\n\u2022 Significant experience of managing professionals over a geographically and culturally diverse region.
\n\u2022 High energy level, strong sense of teamwork and a \u2018can do \u2018 attitude
\n\u2022 The ability to combine strategic perspective with the need to act quickly when the situation demands
\n\u2022 The ability to prioritise work and deliver high quality output to tight deadlines
