{"id":12303,"date":"2015-01-26T02:27:41","date_gmt":"2015-01-26T02:27:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=12303"},"modified":"2016-11-18T09:44:09","modified_gmt":"2016-11-18T09:44:09","slug":"ghana-aids-commission-resource-mobilisation-coordinator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/ghana-aids-commission-resource-mobilisation-coordinator.html","title":{"rendered":"Ghana AIDS Commission: Resource Mobilisation Coordinator"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC) wishes to procure the services of Resource Mobilization Coordinator to mobilize resources to ensure the comprehensive implementation of the National HIV and AIDS Strategic Plan 2011-2015<\/p>\n<p><strong>Background:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Ghana AIDS Commission is currently implementing a 5-year National HiV &amp; AIDS Strategic Plan 2011-2015 with ambitious targets towards attaining universal access to HIV and AIDS services. The plan requires that we sustain and expand our domestic investment into the national HIV response. This requires that Gnana will have to mobilize funds internally to pay for her HIV prevention and treatment programmes<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana AIDS Commission is therefore seeking the services of a dynamic <strong>Resource Mobilization Coordinator<\/strong> to mobilize much needed financial resources to ensure sustainability of our HIV programmes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives of the Assignment:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe main objective of the assignment is to provide overall leadership in mobilizing financial resources to fill the funding gap for the national HIV response.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasks:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe coordinator will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thoroughly analyze and implement the key strategies of the Resource<\/li>\n<li>Mobilization Strategy of the Ghana AIDS Commission<\/li>\n<li>Conduct a donor assessment {i.e mapping of current and potential donors in order to identify potential sources of support for specific aspects of the NSP 2011-2015<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate workshops and discussions with identified financiers to mobilize resources for the activities outlined in the NSP 2011-2015<\/li>\n<li>Arrange fund raising events\/games to generate resources toward the national response<\/li>\n<li>Produce and distribute outreach\/publicity material geared towards partners and donors.<\/li>\n<li>The materials should outline the progress and challenges in the national response, and highlight the areas which require donor support.<\/li>\n<li>The materials should aiso inform the donors about the benefits they will derive from supportingthe national HIV response<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the private sector task team meetings<\/li>\n<li>Raise fundson negotiable Commission basis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities of a Coordinator:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe coordinator shall:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ultimately be responsible for the engaging partners to mobilize financial resources for the national HIV response;<\/li>\n<li>Design a detailed action plan for the completion of assignment;<\/li>\n<li>Lead workshops and debriefing sessions<\/li>\n<li>Be responsible for convening the Private Sector Task Team on behalf of the<\/li>\n<li>Director-General of the Ghana AIDS Commission<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Coordination And Management:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe ultimate responsibility for this assignment lies with the Director General of the Ghana AIDS Commission.
