{"id":12680,"date":"2015-09-04T07:55:23","date_gmt":"2015-09-04T07:55:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=12680"},"modified":"2016-11-17T11:26:25","modified_gmt":"2016-11-17T11:26:25","slug":"world-vision-ghana-recruiting-maintenance-supervisor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/world-vision-ghana-recruiting-maintenance-supervisor.html","title":{"rendered":"World Vision Ghana Recruiting: Maintenance Supervisor"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>World Vision International is a Christian Relief, Development and Advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u><strong>Maintenance Supervisor \u2013 Job Summary<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To provide supervisory and technical coordination for the maintenance, repairs and services of plant,\u00a0 equipment,\u00a0 vehicles and spare parts for efficient operation and the achievement of GI-WASH objectives<\/li>\n<li>Communicate World Vision\u2019s Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><strong>The Package<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The position is based in Savelugu, Northern Region with some level of domestic travel.<\/li>\n<li>The position comes with an attractive salary package.<\/li>\n<li>S\/He reports to the Project Manager.<\/li>\n<li>S\/he provides supervision to the Mechanics \/ Drivers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure efficient performance of the Workshop and all Vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Provide up to date capacity building for the Maintenance team<\/li>\n<li>Ensure transportation of staff, visitors and goods and done in timely and safe manner<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all equipment\u2019s \/ vehicles and drivers has the right valid documentations as per the laws of Ghana and Policies of the organization<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Procurement and Stores Department to ensure the smooth supply and storage of parts at all times<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Health and Safety practices at the workshop at all times<\/li>\n<li>Write monthly reports on all maintenance activities<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties that may be required by the position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Educational level required<\/em>: Degree in Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n<li><em>Technical Training qualifications required<\/em>: Knowledge in Compressors and Heavy duty rigs<\/li>\n<li>Professional technical skill desired (certification) : NVTI 1&amp;2<\/li>\n<li><em>Experience<\/em>: minimum 5 years\u2019 experience in similar role<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the following areas would be a strong advantage: Compressors (Atlas Copco), Auto-Electricals \/Mechanic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><strong>Critical Competencies<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possess excellent time management skills,<\/li>\n<li>good written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use both quantitative and qualitative data in reporting<\/li>\n<li>Good problem-solving and analytical skills, and conceptual ability<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc<\/li>\n<li>Must possess a valid driver\u2019s license.
