{"id":13382,"date":"2016-05-23T11:53:21","date_gmt":"2016-05-23T11:53:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=13382"},"modified":"2016-05-23T11:53:21","modified_gmt":"2016-05-23T11:53:21","slug":"empower-workforce-job-vacancy-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/empower-workforce-job-vacancy-2016.html","title":{"rendered":"Empower Workforce Job Vacancy 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A non-profit organization established almost 20 years ago to provide optimum orthopedic care and improve quality of life in Ghana and other countries.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for a confident, strategic, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Development Manager.<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>Summary of functions<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p>To create, coordinate, and manage all aspects of development for the hospital and to oversee the implementation of a strategic approach to marketing the organizations brand and fundraising which may include major gifts, corporate donations, grant solicitation, and in-kind resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fundraising<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborates with the Board of Directors and Executive Management to create a fund development plan which increases revenues to support the strategic direction of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Develops and manages timelines for various fundraising activities to ensure strategic plans and critical fund raising processes are carried out in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>Establishes and implements a wide range of advancement policies and procedures for individual donors, contributing members, corporations, and foundations.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares and submits grant applications as outlined in the fund development plan to generate funds for the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for identifying and establishing potential sponsors and settling on the appropriate targets for funding for patients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Public Relations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plans, develops and implements PR strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Acts as the focal point to the public.<\/li>\n<li>Manages the PR aspect of developmental projects.<\/li>\n<li>Be a visible and approachable resource to staff on all PR &amp; Marketing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Marketing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Researches the market and adopts tailor made approach to branding the Organization in Corporate Ghana.<\/li>\n<li>Be familiar with market trends on fund raising especially in a non-profit organization, taking into consideration the spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism.<\/li>\n<li>Analyzes the media coverage for the organization on monthly basis and send reports.<\/li>\n<li>Liaises with advertising \/marketing entities on promotional events that highlight the organization\u2019s existence.<\/li>\n<li>Designs and implement strategies in signing on Insurance companies (both local and international).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Health and Safety\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures personal safety as well as that of other staff working within the office .<\/li>\n<li>Promotes adherence to health and safety policies, guidelines and protocols across the Hospital.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Quality Assurance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures quality assurance systems are in place for monitoring quality and for investigating incidents and complaints in the department\/unit.<\/li>\n<li>Acts as a role model in quality improvement, offering advice and support to others.<\/li>\n<li>Keeps up-to-date with quality developments relevant to area of work and related.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum BSc Marketing \/ BSc Public Relations<\/li>\n<li>MSc Marketing \/ MSc Public Relations is desirable<\/li>\n<li>Membership of the Chartered Institute Of Marketing or Institute Of Public Relations.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of Five (5) to Ten (10) years working experience with respect to your level of education.<\/li>\n<li>Creativity and innovation.<\/li>\n<li>Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft Office Suite.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of state legislation affecting nonprofit organizations<\/li>\n<li>Assertiveness ability to express opinions, and needs in a direct, honest and appropriate manner and having determination and energy in pursuing goal<\/li>\n<li>Pleasant appearance, easy to approach<\/li>\n<li>Possess high level integrity<\/li>\n<li>Excellent Social\/interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to organize activities, people and events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested candidates should send their Cv\u2019s to\u00a0jobs@empowergh.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A non-profit organization established almost 20 years ago to provide optimum orthopedic care and improve quality of life in Ghana and other countries.
