Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0Information Resource Center (IRC) Assistant<\/strong><\/p>\n

POSITION NO:<\/strong><\/em> A76002<\/p>\n

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0The IRC Assistant will serve as the primary point of contact for Embassy visual diplomacy records retention and program productions.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The incumbent shall be responsible for organizing the section’s extensive photo files; creatively employing graphic design skills for various print and online publications; and serving as the Point of Contact (POC) for the technical aspects of all webchats and video conferences.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 In addition, the incumbent shall be responsible for receiving, storing, and conducting inventory on all IRC equipment and educational materials.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The incumbent shall possess interpersonal skills to be able to back up the IRC Outreach Coordinator.<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 EDUCATION:<\/strong> University degree in information science; computer science and\/or engineering; creative, visual or performing arts; graphic design; communications; or marketing is required.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 EXPERIENCE:<\/strong> A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience working with graphic design and publication and inventory control or in the field of information provision or marketing, broadly defined. Incumbent should have some photography and videography experience. Experience in the use of emerging technologies and electronic resources is required.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 LANGUAGE:<\/strong> Level IV (fluent) in both spoken and written English and in a language of the host country is required. (Language proficiency will be tested).<\/p>\n

SELECTION PROCESS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

When qualified, applicants who are U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and\/or preference-eligible U.S. Veterans are given a preference in hiring. Therefore, it is essential that these applicants make themselves known as having a hiring preference and specifically address the required qualifications above in their application.<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> Management may consider the following when determining successful candidacy: nepotism, conflicts of interest, budget, and residency status.
\n2.<\/strong> Current OR employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply. Current OR employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report (EPR) are not eligible to apply.
\n3.<\/strong> Current NOR employees hired on a Family Member Appointment (FMA) or a Personal Service Agreement (PSA) are not eligible to apply within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless they have a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
\n4.<\/strong> The candidate must be able to obtain and hold a security clearance.
\n5.<\/strong> Candidates who are EFMs, USEFMs, AEFMs, or MOHs must have at least one year remaining on their sponsor\u2019s tour of duty to be considered eligible to apply for this position.<\/p>\n
