By applying science to programs, FHI is helping countries make measurable progress against disease, poverty, and inequity-improving lives for millions<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Associate Director, Grants Management (Accra, Ghana -Req ID: 1379)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Associate Director, Grants Management, under the direction of the Project Director, provides leadership, management and technical expertise in grants management for a medium to large sized program<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Develops quarterly work plans, including planned supervision and capacity-building trips<br \/>\nRevises program quarterly financial requests and reports from grantees to ensure compliance against program activties and contracts<br \/>\nProvides capacity-building assistance to grantees and monitors implementation of their individual capacity-building plans<br \/>\nDesigns and maintain a grant-tracking systems and ensures that all grant documents are maintained according to program standards and policies<br \/>\nPrepares regular management reports on the grantees&#8217; performance and disbursement status<br \/>\nInitiates regular meetings with government officials to ensure close linkages and program support<br \/>\nEnsures timely and proper close out of grants<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BS\/BA in public health or related field, and 7-9 years relevant experience with international development programs; or MS\/MA in public health or related field, and 5-7 years relevant experience with international development programs<br \/>\nOverseas field experience required<br \/>\nEnglish language skills required; fluency in French is a plus<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates may register online through FHI&#8217;s Career Center at www.fhi.org\/careercenter.
