\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Takes responsibility for the operations, growth and harvesting of various types of plants in and around the University campuses
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Prepares technical specifications for plant variety protection
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assists in the formulation of design policies for the University
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Manages staff welfare needs of the Unit
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Performs any other duties related to horticulture management
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Maintains and supervises a team of casual hands
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Conducts training for all horticultural and gardening hiring
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assists in the procurement and maintenance of horticultural machines, and implements
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Maintains regular inventory of such equipments<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledgeable in all types of plants
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 10-15 continuous years of practical institutional and managerial experience in ornamental horticulture (technical educational park administration is desired)
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Field experience in horticulture, parks and gardens especially in tertiary educational environment is desirable<\/p>\n
\n\u2013 ornamental horticulture in all areas
\n\u2013 plant propagation and cultivation
\n\u2013 principles of nursery management
\n\u2013 basic principles of landscaping<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Supervisory skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to supervise the work of diverse subordinate staff
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Report writing, facilitation and communication skills<\/p>\n
