\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Receives and handles transport requests from all departments\/schools\/faculties of the University.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Draws up charts\/programmes for all transport requests
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Schedules vehicles and drivers for official assignments
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Plans for renewal of documents of all University vehicles
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Manages drivers\u2019 leave and makes alternative arrangements in the event that a driver is relieved or on assignment outside
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Sources for additional transport for field trips and clinicals where necessary
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Analyzes log books and fuel utilization of vehicles and produce relevant reports for management decision
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assists in the formulation of transport policy
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Organises vehicle checks
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Performs any other duties related to transport management assigned by management from time to time<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Membership of relevant Associations will be an added advantage
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 A minimum of 15 years post qualification experience in similar position in a reputable public\/private institutions<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong mechanical background.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to diagnose vehicular problems
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent inventory management skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to forge collaboration with diverse stakeholders
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledge of road safety procedures
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to management people
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledge in vehicle scheduling and route planning<\/p>\n
