\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The position holder will be responsible for reviewing and commenting on contracts in accordance with recommended processes and procedures<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain the effectiveness of the contracts and procurement function including strategy, policies, plans and procedures for contracts awarded by oil and gas companies
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Provide guidance on the overall drafting of bid documents, pre-qualification documents, bid evaluations, contract negotiations and contractor selection
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Review and advise the company on oil and gas companies\u2019 vendor qualification systems in relation to sound commercial, financial, technical and quality-assurance principles
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Advise the company on strategies to maximize value and minimise commercial risks through the development and implementation of contracts and procurement strategy regarding Procurement and General Services contracts
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Provide sound, consistent advice on regulatory requirements affecting or impinging on project controls and reporting
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Review and comment on Request for Proposals (RFPs ) from oil and gas companies and other contracting entities for terms and conditions which must be compliant with the Local Content Legislative Instrument (LI)
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Advise contracting companies to negotiate acceptable contract terms and conditions with clients to ensure value for money<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Masters degree in Contracts Administration, Law, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration or its equivalent is preferred
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Minimum of 10 years experience in a progressively responsible position is required, out of which not less than eight (8) years must be in a cognate position<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong computer literacy skills, i.e MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Projects
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated strong, extensive and successful Oil & Gas or Mining Contracts & Commercial management experience
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong working knowledge of contract, procurement methodology to achieve contacting and procurement objectives
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Good understanding of local and international compliance requirements e.g model forms of contract, trade laws etc.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience in presenting and documenting contract agreements
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledge of document control practices and sytems as applied to the management of projects
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Extensive knowledge and track record of reviewing and successfully negotiating reasonable and acceptable contract terms and conditions with commercial clients, preferably in the oil and gas or mining industry
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Integrity, attention to detail, time consciousness, accountability, team work ability<\/p>\n
