The Sustainable Fisheries Management Project (SFMP) is a 5-year food security project, headquartered in Accra. It seeks to rebuild targeted marine fisheries stocks (which are depleted but important to the local economy) through the adoption of sustainable fishing practices and exploitation levels. The project contributes to the government of Ghana\u2019s fisheries development objectives and will work closely with government agencies, fisheries authorities, policy makers and fisher folks in the entire coastal stretch of Ghana to achieve these goals.<\/div>\n

Job Title: Writer<\/strong><\/p>\n

A fisheries food security project is seeking the services of a writer to support their communications component. This is a short term consultancy for a period of three months. The Sustainable Fisheries Management Project\u2019s communications component contributes to the project goal of rebuilding marine fisheries stocks through the creation of informed constituencies and building political will that serve the overarching purpose of reducing poverty and hunger as spelled out by the USAID Feed the Future Development Goals as well as the Agricultural sector Development Goals of the Government of Ghana.<\/p>\n
