The Programme is co-financed by the Government of Ghana (GOG), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and African Development Bank (AfDB). A Programme Coordination and Management Unit (PCMU) has been established in Kumasi to oversee the day-to-day activities of the REP.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Zonal Business Development Officer (BDO)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Zonal Business Development Officer (BDO), reporting directly to the Operations Manager will lead in the field level implementation of the Business Development Services (BDS) component of the Rural Enterprises Programme (REP) at the zonal level.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Generally, responsibilities of the job position will include;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assisting in the planning. implementation, coordination and follow-up of all the business development activities of the Programme implemented through the Business Advisory Centres (BACs) and Rural Technology Facilities (RTFs) in the districts at the zonal level.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring Programme implementation timeliness, efficiency and effectiveness at the zonal level and working with the BDS component team, contribute to the development and implementation of the overall BDS implementation strategies, arrangements and guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with all the programme implementation partners on BDS at the zonal level to ensure that the standards of the REP model BAC are consistently maintained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Location: Kumasi but working to the zones as follows: Northern (Northern, Upper East &amp; Upper West Regions); and \u00a0Southern (Greater Accra, Eastern Volta and Central Regions).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of a Master\u2019s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies or other relevant field.<\/li>\n<li>Other credentials in quantitative methods or statistics\/familiarity with statistical or data management applications could be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in an operational position in Development Partner funded rural development Programme(s).<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of business and project management principles and practices involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique. and coordination of people and resources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Details of specific responsibilities of positions will be included in a contract on appointment.
