The Programme is co-financed by the Government of Ghana (GOG), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and African Development Bank (AfDB). A Programme Coordination and Management Unit (PCMU) has been established in Kumasi to oversee the day-to-day activities of the REP.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Monitoring &amp; Evaluation\/Gender Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Monitoring &amp; Evaluation\/Gender Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager and generally lead in identifying gender-based constraints facing the primary target groups and steering programme activities to directly address these issues. S\/he will be expected to engage with all areas of programme implementation to ensure gender mainstreaming practices are being utilised.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Generally:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Monitoring &amp; Evaluation\/Gender Officer will Perform M &amp; E functions at PCMU and in addition support the implementation of gender assessments and reviewing and analysing gender data in the programme monitoring reports.<\/li>\n<li>Lead and oversee the development and implementation of a Gender Action Plan (GAP) for the programme elaborating on a gender equity and social inclusion strategy for all programme activities.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the programme Resource for gender-based questions and engage with stakeholders on gender issues being addressed by the programme.<\/li>\n<li>Support in the M&amp;E data collection, \u00a0gender analysis and interpretation for gender specific indicators to arrive at key findings and actionable recommendations and support external participants (such as external evaluators or consultants) on all issues on the gender dimensions of programme implementation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies or a relevant field<\/li>\n<li>Other credentials in economics, agric-economics, quantitative methods or statistics\/familiarity with statistical or data management applications could be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in Development Partner funded rural development Programme(s)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in designing and conducting gender analyses, designing and facilitating trainings on gender issues and gender integration processes and techniques, understanding of monitoring and evaluation including experience with effective gender indicators and data collection considerations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\">\u00a0<strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Details of specific responsibilities of positions will be included in a contract on appointment.
