{"id":14331,"date":"2016-06-23T10:20:30","date_gmt":"2016-06-23T10:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=14331"},"modified":"2016-06-23T10:38:41","modified_gmt":"2016-06-23T10:38:41","slug":"internal-auditor-urgently-needed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/internal-auditor-urgently-needed.html","title":{"rendered":"Internal Auditor Urgently Needed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An investment company based in Accra seeks the services of an<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Internal Auditor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The incumbent will ensure successful completion of assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of pre-planning and wrap up activities and communicates identified issues with Internal Audit subcommittee of the Board and Group CEO to ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>General Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Develop Audit Programme for each engagement for review by the Group CEO and the Board<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Undertake effective planning for each engagement within the businesses<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Conduct audits (i.e assists in determining the nature, scope and direction of audit engagements as well as gathering effective evidence to support negotiated resolution of non-compliance issues)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Perform specific audit procedures, including within budgeted timelines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness on internal control systems<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of audit work papers in accordance with acceptable formats<\/li>\n<li>Manage working papers files<\/li>\n<li>Timely preparation of draft reports on all audit engagements<\/li>\n<li>Review of compliance with all statutory provisions under the investment banking, money markets, properties law and other regulations\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Perform detailed root cause analysis and the relevant actions to address control gaps noted on engagements<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Undertake special reviews and investigations<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Lead with the development and update of Internal Audit policies and manuals<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Obtain and reviews evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure adherence at all times to all applicable department and professional standards<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Perform follow-up activities to evaluate the sufficiency and timeliness of management responses and corrective action taken in response to audit recommendations<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Perform other related duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification Required &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Bachelor&#8217;s degree in accounting, finance or the equivalent combination of education, training and work experience<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 At least 6 years of internal audit experience or equivalent line experience in a risk or control function, including experience in leading audit (internal or external) engagements.
