Under the professional guidance of the WHO Representative, the overall management supervision of the UN Resident Coordinator and immediate Supervision of the United Nations Dispensary Physician, the United Nations Dispensary Nurse shall:<\/p>\n
Attend to the United Nations Dispensary on a full time basis
\nBe on call during outside office hours when necessary
\nMaintain the United Nations Dispensary in good order and keep the inventory of medical supplies and equipment up-to-date
\nIn consultation with the United Nations Dispensary Physician maintain a 24-hour roster of available specialists for referral and treatment
\nGive first-aid and advice to the staff and their recognised dependants
\nAdminister minor “outpatient” treatment and immunisation requirements
\nAssist the United Nations Dispensary Physician when official medical examinations are undertaken at the United Nations Dispensary
\nAsssist in maintaining records of all visits and treatment as well as records of all medical supplies in the United Nations Dispensary or facilities established outside of the United Nations Dispensary<\/p>\n

\nHe\/she must have excellent organizational skills, initiative, sound judgement and interpersonal skills and the ability to perform under pressure, work independently and abiltiy to meet tight schedules
\nThe incumbent mst be well disposed to working in an international environment, where focus is an achievement of results
\nFull command of both written and spoken English is a requirement
\nHigh degree of computer literacy and knowledge of one or more local languages is essential and working knowledge of French is an advantage<\/p>\n
