The organization is registered with the Department of Social Welfare under registration number DSW\/ 1648. WAAFplus\u2019 areas of focus are education, advocacy, community empowerment and development, treatment, care &amp; support as well as research. With an onsite clinic, WAAF presents a unique one-stop service, connecting various communities to formal healthcare service delivery facilities.<\/p>\n<p>WAAF is well known for its contribution over the years to Ghana\u2019s healthcare by the Ghana Health Service, NACP and other major stakeholders in health care delivery. We act as a first point of contact for health care for other CBO\u2019s, FBO\u2019s, health facilities and are thus well networked with other formal health facilities in the country. Referrals, follow-ups and monitoring are also facilitated through our involvement in healthcare down to the grassroots level.<\/p>\n<p>WAAF plays a leading role in community mobilization for improved access to heath services for under-served and vulnerable populations, and has extensive experience in developing and delivering community-based education and care programs. Coming into its 14th year, WAAF has stepped up to WAAF plus and will continue its commitment to leadership in servicing Ghana, particular its pregnant women, MSMs, sex workers, PLHIVs and their partners<\/p>\n<p>To carry out activities related to tracking of the performance of the project at all levels and reporting on programme interventions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: M&amp;E Officer\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide daily technical support to data officer and project officers<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up provincial issues identified in meetings with local authorities and other external stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Collect issues and problems raised by Project officer and peer educators to be included in monthly report and for advocacy purpose<\/li>\n<li>Conduct rigorous supervision of all M&amp;E activities to ensure that all data collected is verifiable and accurate<\/li>\n<li>Organise bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly regional review meetings with staff and volunteers and where necessary, all stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Organise field visit to provide technical support to project officers and peer educators in organising sub-national HIV\/AIDS awareness canpaign, meetings, workshops, exchange visits and other<\/li>\n<li>Prepare annual progress report and quarterly progress report<\/li>\n<li>Conduct monitoring visit to projects sites to provide technical backstopping at the community level<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely implementation, review and monitoring of strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A first degree in the Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Health or any of the Health Sciences.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 3 years of relevant post qualification working experience in the public or NGO sector.<\/li>\n<li>Must have strong analytical skills.<\/li>\n<li>Technical knowledge of HIV and AIDS issues.<\/li>\n<li>Must have skills in programme monitoring and evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>High level computer proficiency and internet skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications together with detailed CVs and copies of certificates are to be submitted to the addresses below within fourteen days from the date of first publication.<\/p>\n<p><strong>West Africa AIDS Foundation (WAAF)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Plot 650 Ecomog Road, Haatso, Accra <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Email:info@waafweb.org NAP+ <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Ghana Secretariat PMB MD 145 Madina, Accra<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The West Africa AIDS Foundation Plus (WAAF plus) is a registered nongovernmental organization (NGO) founded in 1999 with registration number G, 4852.
