\nThe Association shall provide the youth with the knowledge and means of exercising their basic rights to decide freely and responsibly on their Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) as a means of improving the quality of life of Ghanaians
\nThe vision of PPAG is that Ghana should become a country in which the youth are well informed about Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and confidently exercise their right of choice of SRH services without fear and\/or any obstacle from any sector of the society.<\/p>\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0National Programme Coordinator<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ghana Sexual Reproductive Health Alliance for young people hereby invites result \u2013 oriented and committed persons to apply for the following vacant position.The Alliance is hosted by Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) and will host the National Programme Coordinator. PPAG which is affiliated to the International Planned Parenthood Fedration (IPPF) is a leading provider of sexual reproductive health information and services. PPAG believes in Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection and Gender Policies.<\/p>\n

Purpose of the Position:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Responsible for the Alliances\u2019\u00a0 coordination at country level based on a joint country programme and annual work plans, and facilitates and coordinates programme development, annual work plans, reporting,\u00a0 joint activities, country alliance communication and external relations pertinent to the Alliances\u2019 activities including Get Up Speak Out Programme in Ghana.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Management of the collaboration process of country Alliance partners, looking for synergy, exchange and learning between the partners in order to become more effective in reaching the results of the Alliance including the Get up Speak out Programme.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensuring young people are at the centre of the programmes of the Alliance and supporting meaningful youth participation throughout the programme development, implementation, governance, monitoring and evaluation.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that sensitive issues (MYP, sexual diversity, safe abortion, etc.) will be taken up appropriately by the partners.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Being the face of the GUSO programme in Ghana: representing the alliance in (advocacy) events and meetings and increasing the visibility of the alliance.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that there are additional resources available for the Alliances programmes.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitates and coordinates programme development and preparation of the (Multi)annual Country Work Plans agreed upon by the National Governing Body (NGB) in Ghana and the consortium manager;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Monitors the progress of the implementation of the (Multi) Annual Country Programme Plans and keeps an eye on country objectives;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Discusses with partners insufficient performance, signals cases of long term non-performance and communicates long term non-performance following the guidelines for escalations;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Signals and communicates other challenges and problems related to the programme and its alliance partners to the NGB and the National Programme Coordinator following the guidelines for escalations;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Mobilize additional financial resources for the Alliances.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Manages the joint activity budget with support from the CFP under the auspices of the consortium manager;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Compiles financial and progress reports, the annual overall budget and PME information;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Organises in-country annual planning and review meetings;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitates and inspires country alliance partners to collaborate and look for synergy at country level;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitates shared learning and joint initiatives with regard to programme implementation and PME activities at country level;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Organises joint programme evaluations and workshops to share experiences with implementing partners;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Identifies the need for TA (institutional and thematic) at country level (centrally and for individual or selection of partners) in addition to the needs that country alliance partners identify themselves;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Chairs the National Programme Team in which the country Alliance partners are represented;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Coordinates the development and realisation of Operational Research;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitates or leads the joint advocacy efforts of the country alliance;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Coordinates partnership with the Embassy and other Strategic Partnerships and SRHR Partnerships;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Represents the Alliance\u00a0 in Local, regional and International platforms ( events and meetings)
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Profiles and increases the visibility of the Alliance and its programmes at country level.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Secretary to the NGB.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Any other duties assigned by the NGB<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 A minimum educational qualification of a second degree in Social Sciences, Management, Development, Policy and Research.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 A minimum of five (5) years working experience in a related area.<\/p>\n

Critical Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent English (written and oral) communication skills;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Sound experience in the field of SRHR (sexual and reproductive health and rights);
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Work experience in an international (development) organisation;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Proven track record in programme management (report writing, PMEL, budget management), facilitating learning processes and alliance building;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Energetic about putting youth at the centre of this programme and working with young people as equal partners;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience with networking and lobbying and advocacy at country and regional level;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong facilitator, connector, communicator and leader;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong administrative and organizational skills;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to work independently;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Self-confident, persistent and decisive; good listening capacity; assertive; flexible;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to travel;
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Supports the values and principles as described in the Essential Packages.<\/p>\n
