Built to deliver a better world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Civil Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Civil Engineer reports to the Construction Manager \/ Engineers representative and works with the Design Coordinator Marine Works and the lead engineers for quay wall construction, breakwater construction and dredging and reclamation.<br \/>\nThe Civil Engineer will support the dredging, reclamation, breakwater and quay wall design and construction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Civil Engineer is responsible for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Actively addressing issues as raised by the project team by providing guidance or resolution either personally or through collaboration with other engineers, quantity surveyors, contracts specialists and HSEQ specialists.<\/li>\n<li>Providing support and advice to the Construction Manager on Civil matters.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with Client team in relation to ongoing project progress, decisions and changes.<\/li>\n<li>Advising senior management of the status of project progress, decisions and changes.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating project needs and service delivery with other discipline leads project controls, commercial\/contracts, HSE and quality.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating project needs and service delivery with other projects\u2019 senior engineers.<\/li>\n<li>Implementing the integrated management system including the Quality Management System.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of and verifying the accuracy of periodic (weekly, monthly) and ad hoc reports and project metrics.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating with the project controls and commercial teams in assessing impacts of proposed changes of scope, schedule and cost.<\/li>\n<li>Participating in project\/program risk assessment activities and maintaining a project-level risk register.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to the development of tender and contract documents for interfacing works.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating with the Design Manager in the review of the Design-Build Contractor\u2019s design of the works.<\/li>\n<li>Obtaining support from the Quality Manager in implementing the QA\/QC procedures<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating with the Project Controls staff in assessing progress against programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Person Specification (Personality Attributes)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Focused on project delivery \u2013 attention to detail and quality with a capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>The Civil Engineer forms part of a larger Construction management team and sound interpersonal skills and team ethic are essential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum BSc or BTech in an engineering discipline<\/li>\n<li>Member of professional organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum BSc or BTech in an engineering discipline<\/li>\n<li>Member of professional organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum BSc or BTech in an engineering discipline<\/li>\n<li>Member of professional organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements Specific skills required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluent in Chinese language including reading and writing<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of technical reports<\/li>\n<li>Supervision of civil construction<\/li>\n<li>Reading and interpreting plans and specifications<\/li>\n<li>Reading and interpreting time schedules for construction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working for a consultant is required (3 years minimum)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Marine Construction and \/or site investigation is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience working for a contractor is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience working for a foundation contractor is an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Comments<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eligibility to work in Ghana due to nationality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are a global network of experts working with clients, communities and colleagues to develop and implement innovative solutions to the world\u2019s most complex challenges.
