The Advans group is a network of microfinance institutions (MFIs) and microbanks which provide adapted financial services to Micro, Small and Medium sized Enterprises (MSMEs) and low-income populations in developing, emerging and frontier countries.\u00a0Advans aims to transfer best practices in corporate governance and operations management to its affiliates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Database Administrator<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"PG-PS12interligne\">The Banking software administrator will assist the IT manager in providing full life-cycle database support for our banking system. Under the supervision of the IT manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the database, running daily basic tasks, running tests as per supporting end-users for the Head office and branches of the institution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Orbit Banking administration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Database configuration and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Basic administration tasks<\/li>\n<li>Report testing<\/li>\n<li>End of day process<\/li>\n<li>Test and Procedures writing<strong><br \/>\nOrbit Banking training<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide training on Orbit for end-users<strong><br \/>\nORBIT Helpdesk<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to provide the maximum efficiency to the Advans staff, the IT department is maintaining a helpdesk, which allows each user to report their problems as quickly as possible. The helpdesk will be responsible to log the problem, follow its resolution and inform the users<br \/>\nThe Orbit helpdesk provides support for users for any issue regarding the Orbit banking software:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain a list of issues and follow their resolution<\/li>\n<li>Inform users of the progress of the issues<strong><br \/>\nQuality and Performance criteria<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Quality maintenance of computing equipment and development of software<\/li>\n<li>Quality of staff training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PERSON SPECIFICATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education TRaining and areas of expertise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A university degree or its equivalent in IT or Computer science is required.
