\nIncludes the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nProtect patients, yourself and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures which meet or exceed recommended industry standards
\nSupervises and participates in the processing of film through developing, fixing, washing and drying processes, keeps darkroom and x-ray room in a neat and orderly condition.
\nObtain quality diagnostic radiographs and performs special radiological investigations as requested by the RMO.
\nEnsure that all equipment are in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations .
\nReport immediately any equipment malfunctioning to the RMO
\nLog completed radiological procedures. Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
\nIdentify and file reports as required
\nMaintain x-ray room, stock necessary radiological supplies Request, retrieve and track files to and from other sections of the Hospital
\nTrain National Service persons, attachment students and subordinates technicians in the operation of x-ray equipment and in safety procedures involving radiation hazards
\nPerform related duties as required<\/p>\n
\nMinimum of 2 years working experience as an X-Ray technician and must be computer literate
\nMust have adequate knowledge in Mine Safety Regulation and practices
\nConsiderable knowledge of the methods and techniques involved in the operation of x-ray equipment
\nKnowledge of the methods and techniques used in the processing of x-ray film
\nMust have good knowledge of safety procedures
\nConsiderable knowledge of human anatomy and the proper positioning of patients to secure desired radiographs
\nGeneral knowledge of the operating principles of x-ray equipment
\nAbility to supervise and train subordinate technicians and student technicians
\nAbility to gain the confidence and cooperation of patients<\/p>\n
