The mining operations consist of a number of open pits, both proximal and distal to the processing plant which consists of a traditional Carbon-In-Leach (CIL) system. In 2008, Benso mining operations commenced to provide a source of high grade ore to the Wassa processing plant. In 2009, mining operations at Hwini-Butre commenced and provide even higher grade ore to the Wassa mill.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Job Description<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Contract Period:<\/span><\/strong> Two (2) Years Fixed Contract<\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the Projects Superintendent, the role involves the responsibility for ensuring that all approved projects are on schedule at every stage of the project cycle<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The successful candidate shall be responsible for:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparing and monitoring      projects construction, installation and commissioning schedules by      optimizing the usage of resources to ensure that targets are achieved on      time and on budget<\/li>\n<li>Organising and attending      site progress meetings to discuss performance of contractors and      identifying problems hindering the progress of work and assisting in      resolving issues wherever and whenever they arise<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and monitoring      schedules to ensure that jobs are kept within the scheduled timeliness as      well as maintaining data base of completed projects<\/li>\n<li>Providing a timely report      and feedback on all projects activities as required by Management<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that equipment and      materials are available on site as and when required during the project      implementation stage and formulate controls to avoid unnecesssary delays      and wastage<\/li>\n<li>Will be required to      undertake other site supervisory duties as and when required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> The role goes with a very competitive salary package and other fringe benefits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a relevant      tertiary qualifications from a recognised institution<\/li>\n<li>In addition, must have been      trained in general construction project planning practices<\/li>\n<li>Must have at least five (5)      years relevant work experience in the construction industry, preferably in      the mining environment<\/li>\n<li>Must demonstrate an      extensive exposure in project planning, control and administration in an      open cut mining environments<\/li>\n<li>Must be computer literate      with working knowledge in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office      applications.
