You will guarantee the output on time, organize improvements to optimize product quality, yield and costs and make sure the plant is well maintained.<\/p>\n<p>After the team is fully set up, you will manage approximately up to 45 employees (mainly team leaders, process operators and technicians). You will report to the Project Manager Support &amp; Operations Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Our ideal candidate has a Master\u2019s degree in Engineering, Production Management experience, a process or mechanical engineering background, experience in an international company (or abroad) and is located in the Tema area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Production &amp; Maintenance Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the entire production process in close cooperation with the departments of Logistics, Process Engineering and Global Operations for an effective and efficient production and (off)loading process;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for optimizing our ISO management systems in the field of health, quality, safety and environment;<\/li>\n<li>Care for quality, HACCP, safety and the environment are paramount;<\/li>\n<li>Directly manage and coach the Production Team leaders and indirectly the Process Operators;<\/li>\n<li>Manage, develop and execute the maintenance strategy and the maintenance management systems;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure an adequate inventory of technical materials;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adequate fault analysis (SORA\/FMECA);<\/li>\n<li>Take care of a result driven and safe work performances by monitoring compliance with the rules;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure appropriately trained staff;<\/li>\n<li>Set up and manage the change management system;<\/li>\n<li>Take care of installations and buildings by initiation and realization of modifications and improvements to the plants;<\/li>\n<li>Set up, implement and improve the autonomous maintenance;<\/li>\n<li>Directly responsible for contract management: management of maintenance contracts and the hiring of third parties;<\/li>\n<li>Organize annual maintenance stop;<\/li>\n<li>Project Management;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We expect from you:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Engineering (food processing technology, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering preferred) or Bachelor + compensating work experience;<\/li>\n<li>5+ years\u2019 work experience in production management, preferably in a food environment;<\/li>\n<li>Experience with oils and fats is a strong plus;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of product safety and general safety in the process industry (HACCP);<\/li>\n<li>Understanding cost structures, cost effectiveness awareness;<\/li>\n<li>Competent to use MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint;<\/li>\n<li>Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is a plus;<\/li>\n<li>Driving license;<\/li>\n<li>Willing to be available outside office hours in case of urgent matters;<\/li>\n<li>Willing to give a long-term commitment to this position;<\/li>\n<li>Willing to travel;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills and Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Located in the Tema area (or willing to move to Tema);<\/li>\n<li>Experience within a manufacturing environment;<\/li>\n<li>Additional languages such as French or Dutch are a plus;<\/li>\n<li>Subscribe to a high ethical and professional code of conduct and pledge to represent the company with the highest of professional standards;<\/li>\n<li>People manager a proven track record in coaching and motivating employees;<\/li>\n<li>Initiative, proactive and perseverance;<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and energetic;<\/li>\n<li>Diplomatic personality;<\/li>\n<li>Strong planning and executing skills;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize and deliver on deadlines.
