As a corporate body, we value our customers and constantly build key relationships with the private sector and government.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0IP Transport &amp; Services Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Role purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The role is responsible for the architecture and design of the IP\/MPLS backbone, IP transport access networks and IP services in adherence to relevant standards and best practice within the telecommunications Industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key accountabilities and decision ownership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Escalation point for difficulties in fault resolution and problem solving by operational staff.<\/li>\n<li>Assures the current and future integrity of the CPN<\/li>\n<li>Recommends and drives improvement actions in line with Vodafone\u2019s continuous improvement techniques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Core competencies, knowledge and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of IP technologies and services including Vodafone Converged Packet Network (CPN), GPON, DCN, Circuit Switched, Packet Switched core.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of network and service planning, architecture, design, integration, acceptance test procedure<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.University degree in Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent qualification<\/li>\n<li>CCNA (mandatory)<\/li>\n<li>CCDP\/CCNP, Project mgmt.
