Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0Rooms Division Supervisor<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Presbyterian Centre for Vocational Instructors\u2019 Development (PRECEVID) is a Centre of Excellence offering training in hospitality operations and management using the Competency Based Training (CBT) approach and modeled after the hotel school concept.<\/p>\n

The Centre which is new and still evolving requires the service of a Rooms Division Supervisor.\u00a0 PRECEVID is located in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.<\/p>\n

JOB PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Provide overall leadership and direction for the effective operations and management of the Front Office and Housekeeping department of PRECEVID.<\/p>\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Develop and ensure compliance of a standard operating manual for the department
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Prepare Lessons plans for training room instruction in front office and housekeeping in conformance with approved curriculum.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Research and input into training content, learning materials and methods of instruction to\u00a0 achieve set goals and objectives
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitate and conduct discussions to increase trainees\u2019 knowledge and competence using visual aids such as graphs, charts, videotapes and slides.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Conduct on the job-training, sessions to demonstrate principles, techniques, procedures and or methods of front office service and housekeeping operations to trainees.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Supervise and monitor trainees and staff use of inventory, supplies, tools and equipment.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Supervise individual or group projects, field placements, practical work or other training.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain and implement safety and security requirements in the training, working and operational areas.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist in the ordering and purchasing of all front office and housekeeping products and supplies.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Forecast , plan and manage front office and housekeeping\u00a0 activities, staff and finance
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain daily records of operations towards assessment of budgeted guidelines
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Resolve customer\/guest complaints regarding quality and service
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Supervise and train the front office and housekeeping\u00a0 team to continuously meet the standards of industry as stipulated in the departmental operational manuals
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain knowledge of current trends and development in your field of specialization.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Write departmental report on operations<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 A minimum of a good first degree in Hospitality Management and
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 At least 5 years\u2019 practical experience working in the industry including 2 years in supervisory role in the hotel.<\/p>\n

KEY COMPETENCIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Proven skills in leadership, management, team building and interpersonal relations
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong understanding of and hands-on experience in the TVET sector
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience in successful leading, developing and working with high-performing teams to deliver clear targets.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrate business acumen and proven entrepreneurial skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrate skills in financial management
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent verbal and electronic presentation, as well as written communication skills.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrate good marketing and persuasive skills.<\/p>\n
