{"id":15872,"date":"2016-08-15T12:56:06","date_gmt":"2016-08-15T12:56:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=15872"},"modified":"2016-08-15T12:56:06","modified_gmt":"2016-08-15T12:56:06","slug":"fresh-job-vacancies-at-uhas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/fresh-job-vacancies-at-uhas.html","title":{"rendered":"Fresh Job Vacancies At UHAS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Health and Allied Sciences, hereby, invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of\u00a0<strong>Director of Procurement<\/strong>\u00a0to take effect from\u00a0<strong>1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0November, 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Director of Procurement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting to:\u00a0Vice Chancellor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plans and draws up strategies to support and strengthen capacity requirement for an effective procurement system<\/li>\n<li>Plans and coordinates all activities of the procurement Directorate<\/li>\n<li>Prepares call for tenders and follow-up procedures in the management of any type of contract<\/li>\n<li>Establishes and negotiates contract terms and conditions as well as maintains supplier relationships<\/li>\n<li>Identifies procurement saving opportunities and implements agreed plans to achieve targets<\/li>\n<li>Provides inputs for the formulation of policies, plans and budgets of the University.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Qualification and Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum qualification of a Master&#8217;s degree in a business field such as economics, logistics, supply chain management, purchasing and supply management, operations management, finance, mathematics or statistical analysis<\/li>\n<li>A member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of seven (7) years post qualification relevant work experience, four (4) of which must be in a Senior Management position in a reputable institution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills\/Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of the provisions of the Public Procurement Act 2003, (Act 663), Financial Administration Act 2003. (Act 654) and the Internal Audit Agency Act 2003.
