Crossover specializes in finding and managing the talent in today\u2019s global workforce and will help you through the recruiting process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Ruby on Rails Chief Architect<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At OnTheGoSystems you will play a dynamic leadership role in our fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for developing solutions to complex problems, designing and delivering real enterprise-class software products to customers and being a hands-on peer leader of top development resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications<\/li>\n<li>Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems<\/li>\n<li>Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills and Experience<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>A ruthless commitment to quality: must write unit testing on both back end and front end<\/li>\n<li>Extensive problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>An ability to communicate clearly regarding complex issues (in English)<\/li>\n<li>5+ years experience with Ruby on Rails development and architecture<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances<\/li>\n<li>Solid understanding of object-oriented programming<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of functional programming style in Ruby<\/li>\n<li>Skills for writing reusable Ruby libraries that may be used in expressive ways<\/li>\n<li>Able to work in a dev-automation environment with some source control, continuous integration\/delivery systems<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in the following skills and technologies is mandatory:\n<ul>\n<li>Ruby on Rails<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Javascript Frameworks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful<\/li>\n<li>RSpec<\/li>\n<li>Cucumber<\/li>\n<li>MySQL Database<\/li>\n<li>Basic HTML and CSS<\/li>\n<li>Optionally worked with Python<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Compensation is $50\/hr for 40 productive hours per week<\/p>\n<p>Location: Global (remote)<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re one of the few legitimate companies offering high-paying jobs that are 100% remote, work from home.
