Africa World Airlines Limited is a Ghanaian airline company with its head office in Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana, and its main hub at Kotoka International Airport in Accra.
\nAfrica World Airlines was incorporated in 2010. It is a joint venture between Hainan Airlines, China-Africa Development Fund, SSNIT and SAS Finance Group
\nAfrica World Airlines took delivery on 30 August 2012 of its first Embraer 145 aircraft that will be used to operate domestic routes. A second aircraft was delivered on 8 September 2012.These aircraft were previously operated by Tianjin Airlines which is a sister company within the HNA Group.
\nAfrica World Airlines has plans to increase its fleet size by adding Airbus 319 series of aircraft, as of yet the number of aircraft to be added is undefined.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The First Officer\u2019s task is to operate the aircraft together with the Captain in a safe and economical manner.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 In the event of Commander Incapacitation, the highest ranking Co-Pilot assigned to the light shall assume command.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 The position reports directly to the Chief Pilot.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain familiarity with AWA’s Operations Manual in order to fulfill job role professionally and safely
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist the Captain as requested, concerning any administrative duties in relation to the light
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Support the Captain in the maintenance of a proper standard of crew discipline, conduct and personal appearance
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Carry out such duties concerning the light in accordance with AWA’s operating policies and procedures as allocated to him by the Captain
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Responsible for confirmation of the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check upon the geographical position of the aircraft, ensuring its safe terrain and weather clearance
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Conduct the light in compliance with the current light plan, SOPs and the captain’s instructions when the Captain is not at the controls, and to subsequently notify the Captain of any change to the current light plan upon his return
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Advice, inform and assist the Captain whenever necessary in order to contribute favorably towards the safe and efficient conduct of the light
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Maintain a high personal standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as a representative of Africa World Airlines at all times
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Carry out pre-light checks of aircraft systems and make sure the aircraft insurance certificates and other legal paperwork are up to date.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong aptitude for mathematics and mental calculation
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Good eye – hand co-ordination to handle the aircraft skillfully
