Engineers and scientists at our product centers work on next-generation products and services for drilling and evaluation, completions and production, and fluids and chemicals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Field Specialist \u2013 Upstream Chemicals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>EMPLOYMENT STATUS<\/strong>: Full Time Regular (local) \u2013 Full time permanent position for hiring on a local contract.<\/p>\n<p>Baker Hughes has an opportunity available for a Field Specialist to join our team in Ghana in our Upstream Chemicals department<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\/ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Under general supervision provides support for the product segments, technical selling, key field product applications, production troubleshooting, facility and flow diagnostics.<\/li>\n<li>Investigates unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative action.<\/li>\n<li>Handles special projects, as assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Conducts all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values <strong>ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS\/REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Two year technical college degree or equivalent preferred<\/li>\n<li>Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering degree preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Laboratory experience with Chemicals<\/li>\n<li>Upstream or downstream experience.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2 years Laboratory experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the Oil and Gas industry will be beneficial but not a requirement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\/REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Proficient knowledge of product segments and proper application of products.<\/li>\n<li>Thorough understanding of production from down hole to pipeline distribution.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work and communicate well with others COMPANY OVERVIEW<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Baker Hughes is a leading supplier of oilfield services, products, technology and systems to the worldwide oil and natural gas industry.
