The 44 countries at that conference sought to build a framework for economic cooperation to avoid a repetition of the competitive devaluations that had contributed to the Great Depression of the 1930s.<\/p>\n<p>The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is an organization of 189 countries, working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Created in 1945, the IMF is governed by and accountable to the 189 countries that make up its near-global membership.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Staff Assistants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The IMF\u2019s Regional Technical Assistance Centre AFRITAC West 2 (AFW2) is seeking to hire a staff assistant at its Centre located in Accra, Ghana.
