FHI 360 works alongside government agencies and nongovernmental organizations to improve Ghana\u2019s education system and to support public and private health systems and services in the country.<\/p>\n

FHI 360 recently become a key implementing partner for the Ghana Partnership for Education: Learning, a U.S. Agency for International Development project to support the early grade reading and literacy improvement activities implemented by the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service. Our education activities will help improve, expand and sustain learning outcomes for at least 2.8 million primary students nationwide, with a particular emphasis on children in kindergarten through grade three.<\/p>\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title: Chief of Party<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n

FHI 360 is currently recruiting for the position of Chief of Party (COP), <\/strong>for an anticipated USAID-funded Partnerships for Peace (PfP) Project. PfP will support West African efforts to improve their ability to counter violent extremism (VE). Activities will improve understanding of VE and knowledge of CVE approaches in West Africa; increase governmental and civil society leadership of CVE efforts; and improve regional coordination on CVE. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing complex international programs and is familiar with the civil society and regional organizational landscape of the region. S\/he will be fluent in English or French with at least professional proficiency in the other. Knowledge of CVE research and experience implementing CVE activities is highly desirable.<\/p>\n

West African nationals, especially those currently residing in Ghana, are especially encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n

Job Summary \/ Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

The COP will be responsible for providing overall vision, leadership and guidance for the project. S\/he will be the primary point of contact for USAID and will be responsible for overall project management and technical operations. S\/he will ensure that project tasks are completed on time and the project objectives are successfully met. FHI 360 anticipates that the Chief of Party will be based in Accra, Ghana but s\/he must be willing to travel to other countries in the region as required.<\/p>\n
