{"id":16489,"date":"2016-09-05T12:43:23","date_gmt":"2016-09-05T12:43:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=16489"},"modified":"2016-11-17T11:26:20","modified_gmt":"2016-11-17T11:26:20","slug":"world-vision-recruitment-september-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/world-vision-recruitment-september-2016.html","title":{"rendered":"World Vision Recruitment September 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>World Vision is a global Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.<br \/>\nWorld Vision serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Project Officer -WASH,\u00a0Ga West Cluster<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To coordinate, facilitate implement and monitor WASH projects within the Cluster through capacity building, networking, partnership and participation of the communities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Package<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The position is based in Ga West Cluster with regular level of domestic travels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The position comes with an attractive salary package.<\/li>\n<li>S\/He reports to the Ga West Cluster Manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carry out needs assessment and reviews in communities to determine development interventions that are required.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the preparation of WASH projects plans and budgets within the cluster.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure availability of qualitative and quantitative WASH data and information for input into Horizon and CWBT report.<\/li>\n<li>Build capacity of Development Facilitators, volunteers, communities, Church and Government partners and other partners in WASH issues.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in children mapping and monitoring processes in communities to ensure participation of children and their families in ADPs activities this includes Registered Children and the most vulnerable).<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate communication between RC and their sponsors and ensure that Sponsorship Key Performance indicators are met in the different APs forming the cluster.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in RC registering, monitoring and data processing for marketing.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure implementation of Audit and Risk Assessment recommendations in WASH projects and their impact areas within the cluster.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate and report (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually) on WASH activities, outputs and outcomes in ADPs communities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure representation of WV cluster office at District and Regional events related to WASH where World Vision is invited and report on them to the cluster programmes manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education \/ Work Experience \/ Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in hydrogeology, and\/or engineering, behavioral science, public health project management or any related field.<\/li>\n<li>Three years\u2019 experience in working in the WASH Sector<\/li>\n<li>Deep understanding of community-based approaches, including clear involvement of children, women and People with Disabilities in hygiene promotion.<\/li>\n<li>Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.<\/li>\n<li>Attend and participate\/lead in daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to communicate on WASH topics with diverse groups.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to support in the development and roll out of WASH programs\/projects.<\/li>\n<li>Good development and facilitation skills, including catalyzing, connecting, and building the capacity of community groups\/ partners.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communicator at all levels with interpersonal skills, ability and commitment to listen to others.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate commitment to the empowerment of the poor in rural communities.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of programs\/projects cycle management.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and key partners.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in community entry and mobilization and development facilitation.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of proposal writing and negotiation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring, reporting and proposal writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>World Vision is a global Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.
