YES-Ghana is an implementing partner for a new youth initiative, which aims to achieve increased employment and entrepreneurship amongst disadvantaged youth in Ghana. YES-Ghana is leading on the awareness creation, sensitization & mobilisation, and also enrolment of eligible youth onto the programme. YES-Ghana is also leading on the delivery of an integrated Entrepreneurial, Financial Literacy and Life Skills training curriculum for youth participants we enrol on the programme.<\/p>\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0Hub Training Coordinator<\/strong><\/p>\n

Overall Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n

YES-Ghana is seeking a Hub Training Coordinator to provide support to the field team in Kumasi and its surrounding communities. She\/he will be required to provide assistance in the coordination, monitoring and maintaining of records of all training activities under the Hub (a field base\/coordination point for field work). May also be required to assist with creating awareness of the project and help with the screening of applicants wishing to join the programme. The Hub Training Coordinator will report to the Field Supervisor.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Operations<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Prepare stationery, materials and equipment for all training sessions within your hub.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that all training materials are available before the start of each training session and returned to the hubs after close of training sessions.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Monitor stationery needs for each class and replenish stock as and when necessary
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Support Training Assistants with the arrangement of classrooms and outdoor training spaces for group activities.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Arrange weekly catering for training sessions.
\nInternal & External Communications
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Manage all communication (written and \/ oral) with catering providers within your hub location
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Manage all administrative communication (written and \/ oral) with training staff ( Trainers and Training Assistants) within your hub location
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Led by the Field Supervisor and with the assistance of the team make weekly follow up calls to trainees (three times in each week) and submit updates to the Training & Capacity Building Manager.<\/p>\n

Finances<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Manage financial allocations and expenditures according to delegated authority and render timely accounts in accordance with YES-Ghana\u2019s financial procedures.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Make payments for the provision of catering services and submit all payments receipts after each training session.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Manage the disbursement of all transportation payments and submit weekly reconciliation to the Training & Capacity Building Manager.<\/p>\n

Monitoring & Evaluation<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Collect and submit weekly and monthly participant attendance figures for each training class within your hub location
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Input weekly updates of attendance figures onto the YES-Ghana Training Management Database
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Work with the Training and Capacity Building Manager to conduct scheduled quality assurance visits to each training class within your hub location
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist with the organisation and execution of bi-annual training staff review meetings
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Be the focal point for YIEDIE consortium partners\u2019 monitoring and evaluation visits to training classes within your hub location
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Record and monitor training staff hours worked on the YES-Ghana training<\/p>\n

Other<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist in screening and interviewing applicants to assess their eligibility to be enrolled onto the project.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Assist in collecting baseline data from participants though surveys and interviews.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Answer and make phone calls to prospective participants of the programme.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Perform other duties as may be assigned.<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Experience<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Some experience managing finances and reporting accurately on it.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Some experience volunteering with youth groups, either as a youth leader in your community or as a youth participant (at school, a church group, a local community centre).
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Experience participating in or organising youth-focussed activities highly desired.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Field research experience desirable, including conducting surveys and interviews.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Some experience in maintaining accurate project records, data entry or updating electronic databases would be a plus.<\/p>\n

Skills & Personal Attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Fluency in English and Twi.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to work well independently and to use initiative.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Strong communication, interpersonal and people skills.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Highly organised with good time management skills.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 A flexible approach\u2013 the ability to work at evenings and weekends is a must.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Interest in working with youth in Ghana.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Familiarity with a variety of local communities in and around Kumasi.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to work to high ethical standards and to uphold YES-Ghana\u2019s guiding values and principles, including strict adherence to our Child Protection Policy.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Willing to travel to different communities within Kumasi and surrounding communities.<\/p>\n
