Learn more at www.cargill.com .<\/p>\n<p><strong>Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Managing Director<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job location: Accra, Ghana<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pisition Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and lead operations in Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Manage and lead management teams<\/li>\n<li>Part of the West Africa Leadership Team<\/li>\n<li>Speaking partner for governments local authorities, officials etc<\/li>\n<li>Implement corporate policies, mindset, ethical standards in Ghana<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Major Tasks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>15% Lobbying, government and authoirites relations: manage high profile stakeholders, high level negotiations, relations to World Bank, IMF CMC, Cocobod<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Represent Cargill in professional organizations, (Grinders association, Industry Association, LBC Association, Public private platform ), Customer visits etc<\/p>\n<p>NGOs<\/p>\n<p>Donors<\/p>\n<p>All external stakeholders<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>15% Lead management teams and define global strategy, vision in;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sourcing<\/p>\n<p>Sustainibility<\/p>\n<p>Risk Management<\/p>\n<p>Investments<\/p>\n<p>Operations<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10% Lead management teams and define policies for:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PNL, SGA, costs, ROGI<\/p>\n<p>Costs versus Cocobod pre set costs<\/p>\n<p>Profitability Plant \u2013 LBC<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10% Manage and lead management teams for:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Plant operations<\/p>\n<p>Production<\/p>\n<p>Yields products mix<\/p>\n<p>EHS safety<\/p>\n<p>Security<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>25% Lead LBC operations, expand, scale up activities, EHS, Safety, Security<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>10% HR:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Coordinate management teams,<\/p>\n<p>Structure HR policies and organisations of teams, people management, processes, systems<\/p>\n<p>Manage Ghana ELT<\/p>\n<p>Develop African talents,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>15% Any other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The job requires an ability to work with a high level of complexity, to deal with crisis situation and has a high exposure to polical systems<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be ready to manage complexities, change and crisis:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>-Constantly changing political and business environment:<\/p>\n<p>-high level of corruption,<\/p>\n<p>-fiscal unstability,<\/p>\n<p>-ever changing rules<\/p>\n<p>-Non liberalized environment<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Capacity to maintain high ethical standards<\/li>\n<li>High communication skills: relations to high profile authorities, government, donors, customers \u2013 relation to media<\/li>\n<li>Good Health conditions: High risk of malaria, tropical disease<\/li>\n<li>Travelling: 30%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master degree in business economics or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>10 years experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2013 At least 2\/3 years experience in commodities, trading<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 At least 4\/5 year in extensive operational and strategic leadership with responsibilities for PnL, and track record in delivering growth<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 2 \/3 years experience in magement<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Experience in emerging countries\/ Africa a plus<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive operational, commercial and strategic leadership<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to direct, develop and motivate large teams<\/li>\n<li>Experience in strategic planning and execution, ability to communicate vision and strategy, providing a clear sense of organizational direction<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience of working in an emerging market \/ ideally Africa, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and developing effective relationships with local teams<\/li>\n<li>Effective communicator with excellent persuasive and interpersonal skills: ability to develop networks and high quality relationships<\/li>\n<li>Resilience to work under significant pressure in a very complex political and social environment<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to manage across multiple locations with travelling<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain high ethical standards<\/li>\n<li>English speaking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred qualitfications :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Resilience to work under significant pressure<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain high ethical standards<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership qualities<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience in working in an emerging country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Working at Cargill is an opportunity to thrive\u2014a place to develop your career to the fullest while engaging in meaningful work that makes a positive impact around the globe.
