French favors &#8220;conducteur&#8221; (the English equivalent, &#8220;conductor&#8221;, being used \u2014from the 1830s\u2014 not of the driver but of the person in charge of passengers and collecting fares), while German influenced areas adopted Fahrer (used of coach-drivers in the 18th century, but shortened about 1900 from the compound Kraftwagenfahrer), and the verbs f\u00fchren, lenken, steuern \u2014all with a meaning &#8220;steer, guide, navigate&#8221;\u2014 translating to conduire.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Driver<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a Driver, you will<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transport guests safely to and from the property, carefully handling luggage.<\/li>\n<li>Graciously welcome guests with open doors and luggage assistance.<\/li>\n<li>Picking up guests from the airport to the hotel and dropping guests off at the airport from the hotel<\/li>\n<li>Respond with helpful info about getting around and offer suggestions for local events and activities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the vehicle is clean, gassed, and ready to go, noting any malfunction at the first sign.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fundamentals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>High school education or equivalent experience is required, with prior customer service experience helpful. A Chauffer\u2019s License C\u00a0is\u00a0 required. you must also\u00a0possess an excellent driving record, verified by Motor Vehicle Administration report. The ability to skillfully drive all vehicle speed shifts for vans, limousines and automobiles is required. You must be able to communicate effectively.
