Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Senior Ventilation Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n DIMENSIONS: <\/strong><\/p>\n The Senior Ventilation Engineer is accountable for establishing and implementing the Ventilation standards and procedures for Subika Underground Operations<\/p>\n Operating Cost\/Budget\/Production: Operations\/Capital Budget: $0M Manpower Budget: 1-4<\/p>\n PURPOSE:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 The core business function is to assist in the delivery of the LOM plan in regards to ventilation support and in accordance to Newmont Standards and Ghana Regulations.<\/p>\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Accountable in conducting Primary\/Secondary Ventilation Surveys and inspections<\/p>\n \u2022 Accountable in conducting Heat Load Surveys<\/p>\n \u2022 Accountable in conducting Wall monitoring\/pressure surveys<\/p>\n \u2022 Checks on daily primary fan \/ refrigeration performance<\/p>\n \u2022 Undertake reports based on monitoring results, Primary\/Secondary surveys etc<\/p>\n \u2022 Undertake work Instructions and requests were required<\/p>\n \u2022 Audit ventilation infrastructure and consumable supplies when required<\/p>\n \u2022 Maintain a ventilation instrument register and ensure all calibrations are scheduled<\/p>\n \u2022 Accountable for budget preparation activities within your team and be accountable for the timely delivery of the outputs required from you.<\/p>\n \u2022 Evaluate and propose optimum ventilation engineering solutions for problematic situations (based on accumulated data\/information) which threaten the achievement of planned objectives.<\/p>\n Safety and Environment<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Participate and contribute to safe practice and environmental awareness.<\/p>\n \u2022 Actively participate in all Newmont Ghana safety and environmental systems and initiatives.<\/p>\n \u2022 Demonstrate personal commitment in regard to safety and environmental practices.<\/p>\n \u2022 Identification of potential hazards and action that is appropriately taken.<\/p>\n \u2022 Maintenance of a high standard of efficiency, safety and effectiveness.<\/p>\n \u2022 Raising, discussion and resolution of safety issues at regular meetings.<\/p>\n Become familiar with and strictly adhere to Newmont\u2019s Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
