Negotiating with suppliers and making sure that every item in store offers customers the best possible value. Successful candidate will be reporting to the Merchandise Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Retail Buyer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ROLES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.<\/li>\n<li>Drive a Customer-Centric culture<\/li>\n<li>Provides specific, honest, accurate, and timely feedback on Team member performance<\/li>\n<li>Reviews Customer\/Member-focused data and adjusts performance to address findings.<\/li>\n<li>Promotes and supports Team member efforts to exceed Customer\/Member expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Execute company values through daily job functions.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates and aligns planning with organizational initiatives and direction.<\/li>\n<li>Execution of developed strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Effective management of sales, profit, margin, stock turns &amp; collections.<\/li>\n<li>Assigns tasks to Team members that fit their skill levels and maximize team performance.<\/li>\n<li>Effective management of ranges.<\/li>\n<li>Plans and manages own and others\u2019 time, based on business priorities, and follows up to ensure all work requirements are completed in a timely and accurate manner.<\/li>\n<li>Promotes ideas and links them to business needs and benefits<\/li>\n<li>Management of in-country supplier relationships<\/li>\n<li>Effectively communicates clear, up-to-date information on business plans and priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring cost savings &amp; expense control against budget<\/li>\n<li>Management of quality products<\/li>\n<li>Manage the promo cycle and content for category \/ countries<\/li>\n<li>Identify and use facts, information and expertise to set priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Commerce\/Retail or a related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 1-2 years buying experience in a similar role<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Professional<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Must have strong negotiation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Must be passionate about retail.<\/li>\n<li>Must have in-depth knowledge on product trends.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to make informed decision and good judgement.<\/li>\n<li>Computer proficiency<\/li>\n<li>Customer centered<\/li>\n<li>Must demonstrate creativity and strength in the face of challenge, obstacles, and adversity<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and deliver on time.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to adapt to competing demands and shifting priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build and maintain healthy relationship with Customers\/Members<\/li>\n<li>Positive team player and ability to influence others positively<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to communicate both written and verbal.<\/li>\n<li>Good time management skill.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build trusting, cooperative relationships and alliances with others, inside and outside of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Attention to details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Honest<\/li>\n<li>Trust worthy<\/li>\n<li>Good human relations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To Apply please send CVs to <strong>merchantspjkt@gmail.com<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Client a leading retail company is currently looking to hire a Retail Buyer to support with its operations in Ghana.
