\n\u2022 Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department\u2019s goals and objectives
\n\u2022 Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable
\n\u2022 Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly
\n\u2022 Process payroll in a timely manner
\n\u2022 Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
\n\u2022 Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
\n\u2022 Maintain the chart of accounts
\n\u2022 Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
\n\u2022 Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report and quarterly, bi-annual and annual investor reports
\n\u2022 Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
\n\u2022 Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
\n\u2022 Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
\n\u2022 Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
\n\u2022 Provide for a system of management cost reports
\n\u2022 Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
\n\u2022 Comply with local, national, and international reporting requirements and tax filings
\n
\nQualifications &Key Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Professional accounting qualifications- CA, CIA, CPA, ACCA, or other internationally
\nrecognized accounting qualification.
\n\u2022 At least 10 years\u2019 experience in management accounting
\n\u2022 A good grip on profit and loss, cash flow management, balance sheet and administering payrolls.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of information management tools and basic IT skills
\n\u2022 Knowledge in Excel, MS Access and other accounting software and archiving tools
\n\u2022 Experience in training and supervision of Junior Staff.
\n\u2022 Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
\n\u2022 High motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
\n\u2022 High attention to detail and accuracy
\n\u2022 Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
\n\u2022 Management experience is essential<\/p>\n
